Why Wedding Photography? I love wedding photography! I thrive on meeting new people, the pace of the day, the sheer joy and excitement
in the air, beautiful people, all having a great time. The wedding is fast and dynamic, spontaneous and challenging. It is the most exciting day that many of us experience and I am fortunate enough to be able to capture emotions and expressions of joy as they unfold. To be invited to be a key part of a couples wedding day is a huge privilege and in return, I want to deliver the best photographs I can - always. My wedding couples expect this from me and I am so happy to be able to say that my clients have always been delighted with the photographs I have taken of their special day
The wedding is one of the most beautiful, fun days most of us ever experience. At every wedding you have beautiful people all dressed up for a fabulous occasion. You have the most beautiful bride, glowing with happiness and joyful anticipation. The groom will be trying to keep calm and will be sharing jokes and stories with his friends, whilst beneath the surface counting down the hours and minutes until he sees his princess walk down the aisle. Isn't this just a magical experience to be part of? In my photography I love to capture photographs of what I call the 'in between'. Images that are taken either just before or immediately after the kiss or other portrait. I want to capture the moments where the couple are more natural and relaxed, and most of all, I want them to look fabulous. These photographs are quite simply - priceless. I want the bride to look spectacular, to capture her vibrancy, her joy and her beauty. I will take images of her dress, her jewellery and other unique details she has chosen to make her day special. I want her to be relaxed and confident in front of the camera and my style and approach really does make this easy. But, what about the groom? It is his day also and I want to take great photographs of him. There is nothing quite like a series of individual portraits of the groom at a time where he is feeling great in himself - on his wedding day. For me, wedding photography is about being able to adapt effortlessly to your surroundings and see backgrounds in any location that you know will produce fantastic images. It is about the moment and taking pictures that will make people either smile, shed a tear or even gasp for a breath when they see the photographs you have taken. Weddings are demanding and not recommended for the faint hearted. In return for the hours spent capturing the events of the day and on the computer bringing the images to life, the warm sense of satisfaction I get when I see the delight in the eyes of a couple that are viewing their wedding images for the first time is something quite special. What is my style & Approach? I am a lifestyle wedding and portrait photographer. I love to work in the outdoors using the natural beauty of our environment as the backdrop for my images. My photographic style is based on traditional portraiture, but with a more informal and contemporary approach. My bride and groom portraits are also modern and creative and in many instances incorporate a fashion style approach. The most important aspect of my photography is capturing those very special 'in between' shots, as these really capture the very essence of the loving couple. I believe that to consistently deliver contemporary and creative images to my clients, you have to have real passion, and I know I have this in abundance. I am a calm person, but purposeful. I am well organised, but flexible so that I can adapt to events on the day. I always try to create something unique at each wedding for my clients and this challenge keeps me invigorated so that I maintain my vision and my enthusiasm to deliver fabulous images on the wedding day.
