Wedding season began with a bang! Do you ever meet two people and instantly know you’re going to get on and they are in fact, exactly your kind of people? I instantly got those vibes from Laura and Declan, and I was not wrong!

They planned their day in Loughcrew Estate, that blend of wild romantic Irish grounds complete with the ruins of an ancient church mixed with the historic and bohemian house made it such a unique setting.

Laura had me squealing in the morning when I saw her stunning feather trimmed bridal robe, and she looked an absolute vision rocking those Rita Hayworth waves and classically elegant old Hollywood style dress.

It rained, and it poured, and it rained some more, but never say Ireland doesn’t keep you on your toes because suddenly we got a break in the weather. Queue quick thank you the rain gods. Ceremony, bridal portraits and even the speeches and some sunset photos were done outside and were the perfect end to this truly special day ✨

Show of hands, who is allergic to having their photo taken? I think it’s every couples fear, “we don’t know how to pose”. “We’re awkward in front of the camera”. “When we smile it’s like Chandler Bing in Friends!”.

I hear you. I am that person who avoids the camera, and after recently doing a branding shoot for myself I got to remember how daunting it can be! But here’s the thing, you don’t actually need to know how to pose.

Let me guide you, easy to follow prompts, natural movement and me running around you being your personal hype person so you’re not left floundering and wondering “Am I doing this right??”.

From one awkward camera shy person to another, we can do this and I promise it will be the least scary thing you do! 🤝

Hello friends!

With some new followers hopping on board I thought I’d pop up and show you who your actually following!

• Just your friendly neighbourhood wedding photographer who was born in Peru, adopted as a baby and has grown up in Ireland my whole life. I speak very poor Spanish and have a very South Dublin accent.

• A dedicated foodie, I love going out for dinner and trying new restaurants. If you have a recommendation I’d love to hear it!

• An absolute movie nerd. You’ll find me listening to podcasts dissecting movies scenes just for fun.

• Certified cat lady 🐈‍⬛ I am that person who will stop to say hi to a cat on the road.

• I’ve always loved history, which explains my obsession with castles, old houses, and anything with that old world feeling.

• I was raised on Farthing Wood, Sylvanian Families, and The Secret Garden, which probably explains a lot about me.

• I’m obsessed with flowers and have fully entered my gardening era.

• Forever drawn to things that feel nostalgic, atmospheric, and a bit romantic ✨

Thinking back to this gorgeous intimate wedding in Wilton Castle in the height of summer. Wilton Castle is one of those places that just feels different in the best way, quiet, a little tucked away, and full of character. Doug and Helena had come all the way from Texas to experience a little bit of fairytale magic and I think it’s safe to say, their dreams came true! No rush, no stress, just the two of them and their favourite people living it up in a castle for a weekend. It’s such a lovely spot for an intimate wedding, especially if you want somewhere you can really settle into and make your own for a while. Like having your own little piece of Ireland, even if it’s just for a few days. ✨

What’s the most stressful thing about a First Look?

Honestly, it’s capturing that BAM moment.
That split second when they see each other for the first time. The reaction, the shift, the blink-and-you’ll-miss-it expression.
It’s emotional. It’s real. And it’s EVERYTHING.

But for you two? It’s usually the opposite of stressful!
First looks actually make the whole day feel a lot easier, a lot calmer, and way more enjoyable.

Here’s why:
– You get a quiet moment together before it all begins
No crowd, no pressure. Just the two of you taking it in.

– The nerves settle fast
That build-up disappears the second you see each other. You can just breathe again.

– It frees up your day
Photos are mostly done early, so you have more time at the drinks reception with your guests.
