Galway, and still based there, but now in Shrule, Co. His passion and inspiration for photography can be traced directly to his father, Michael Connaughton, who, though now retired was a long standing full time professional photographer in Tuam. Aidan learned his trade directly from his father before the last days of film, and lived through the dawn of digital. Aidan later trained with his olde

r brother, Colm Connaughton, in his Cavan based photographic studio. Although he always kept his hand in, it's just in relatively recent times that Aidan has pursued it commercially in his own right. With studios in both Tuam and Shrule, Aidan can cater for all requirements in situ, and can adapt to any scenario when on location. He welcomes all new business. Bookings are by prior appointment only, in order to avoid disappointment.

As 2025 draws to a close, I'd like to thank everyone who supported the business during the year. It's really is appreciated. I hope 2026 is good to everyone.
Essential building works are required in the new year, which will hinder business so I am taking the time to avail of an extended break. I am remaining closed until further notice. All outstanding orders can be finalised by calling 093 71105. Thanks again - Aidan.

Taken in 1986, outside what was Camelot Studios. No name with the photo, but this man obviously came straight from the river. Looks like the dog is prouder of the day's catch than him! Can anyone put a name on the man??
