You don’t need to earn the right to be seen.

This is for you, the woman who’s been putting off the brand shoot.

She arrived in head-to-toe colour. Every single bit of it her own choice.

I’ve been asked before whether I require families to coordinate their outfits. The honest answer is no and sessions like this are exactly why.

When she walked in wearing what she wanted, she was confident. She was herself. And that came through in every single frame.

Now imagine we’d put her in something neutral to match everyone else. There’s a good chance she’d have been uncomfortable, disengaged and the whole energy would have shifted.

I’m not saying coordination doesn’t work, sometimes it’s lovely. But what I’ve found, consistently, is that when people dress like themselves, they feel like themselves. And that’s when the photos actually come alive.

Wear what makes you feel good. Let the kids have a say.
Come as you are. That’s enough.

You’ve been putting this off. We both know it.😅

What I see behind the camera again and again is that the women who feel the most nervous beforehand are often the ones who enjoy themselves the most by the end. There’s a shift that happens when you stop bracing yourself and just... let it be what it is.

The photos matter. But honestly, it’s that shift I’m most interested in. That confidence boost that makes showing up easier.

You had the caption.
It was genuinely good.

You wrote it, you reread it, you thought, yes, that’s the one.

Went to find a photo to go with it.
Scrolled back through your camera roll.
Scrolled a bit further.
A bit further again.

Found a blurry one from last year, a screenshot of something unrelated and about forty photos of your dog. 😅🐶

So you closed the app.
Told yourself you’d post tomorrow.

Tomorrow became next week.
Next week became never.

It’s very tough being the perfect model! This little guy was such a superstar and was ready for a big snooze after his photoshoot😍

Looking forward to editing the full gallery next week.

If your baby is due in August, September or October, now is the perfect time to get your photo session booked in. I always keep flexibility in my calendar for newborns so if they arrive earlier or later than planned, we can change the date to suit😍

Shhh 🤫 don’t tell anyone about this spectacular location!

I met the loveliest couple here last week for a very special photoshoot. We practically had the place to ourselves so we had loads of time to play around. And the dull, overcast & misty day was perfect as it added to the drama & fairytale vibe.

It was hard to pick just one photo to share as a sneak peek but this one stood out and I think it would look even more stunning in a handmade rustic frame with floating torn edge print - swipe to see what I mean 👉🏻

Sadly IG isn’t doing this image any justice, it needs a big screen to be fully appreciated. Actually forget the screen, it needs to be printed large scale!
