Big news for the Déise! 🛠️✈️ With the first sod officially turned yesterday for the runway expansion, Waterford Airport is finally preparing for takeoff!

Looking back at this shot I captured of the hot air balloon launching from the airfield, the slogan on the side couldn't be more fitting: "Waterford... Where Ireland Begins." For many of us, this airport is where new adventures, homecomings, and stories will soon begin. It’s time for Waterford to soar again! 🎈✨

I can’t wait to be there with my camera when the first commercial flight touches down on that new runway. How about you? Where is the first place you’ll be flying to from Waterford? 🌍
