Kamera ∞ Kamera 8 is an Art Gallery, also an education space for photography and visual art in Wexford, Ireland.

With a team of highly qualified tutors, KAMERA∞ organises photography courses and workshops in Wexford, for every level of proficiency. Kamera 8 is a an art co-operative, also an exhibition and education space for photography and visual art. Located in the heart of the historic town of Wexford, Ireland, Kamera 8 sets out with a cultural agenda focused on standards, innovation, relevant education

and cultural exchange between Ireland and correspondent art organisations throughout the world. With a team of highly qualified tutors, KAMERA∞ organises photography courses and workshops in Wexford, for every level of proficiency, from photography fundamentals to specialised genres and technologies. Kamera 8 is working with both artists and members of the public towards creating an active and democratic artistic hub, a space for exhibitions, knowledge and dialogue, with the goal of growing and nurturing the public’s interest in photography and visual art in the context of the wider cultural life of Wexford and Ireland. Founded by photojournalist Claudio Nego, art curator Anya von Gosseln and photographer Michael Snoek, with several decades of experience between of them and strong professional backgrounds, Kamera 8 creates the premises for a high standard approach but also for an integrative, multicultural experience.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

Sadly we had to decide to close the gallery as from end of January 2020.
The main reason for this step is Anya’s decision to cease her activities with the gallery and concentrate more on her international curatorial work.
Claudio and myself will try to find a new venue in Wexford and continue our efforts to show national and international photographers.
Kamera ∞ webpage and shop as well as our page remain active and we will communicate any new development as soon as possible.
We would like to thank all our visitors for their support and hope to see them in our new place as soon as that opens again.

"Seeing" photographically is a precious gift; too often not pursed because of the perceived complexity of camera settings and photographic skills. Within 6 weeks and 12 hours of hands-on, theoretical sessions, doubled with practical workshops, you will learn to:

✔️ master your camera
✔️ use the most important photographic techniques
✔️ apply them in practical workshops
✔️ discover and enjoy your gift of photography

The course starts on January 9th at KAMERA 8, In Wexford.
