It's definitely great to receive comments like “Wonderful photo and composition!”, and the warm, fuzzy feeling that comes with a compliment about something you’ve done.

But if you want to actually improve in your craft, there’s nothing as helpful as constructive feedback and critical reviews. The observations and suggestions about technical areas that you could improve on or considerations you missed.

So I’ve decided that each week I am going to critique a number of photos, and discuss both their strengths as well as where they could have been made better. My goal is to teach about various photography principles and techniques, and help photographers grow by getting the feedback I wished I had received: feedback that both bolsters the person and educates them.

I'm truly humbled that the city told me that they decided to extend my solo photo exhibit because it was so well received!

However, all good things must come to an end, and TOMORROW is the last day these 26 photos will be available for viewing in the municipal building, Derech Yitzchak Rabin 2, Beit Shemesh.

Had the pleasure to photograph Benaia Barabi performing in Beit Shemesh!

My go-to lenses are my Tamron 24-70 2.8 and Nikon 70-300 5.6 (a kit lens that I love), but here it was the Nikon 50 1.8. So to get these shots I had to be up close and in the center of all the action!
