Yoel schlaen photographer outdoor & wildlife photography My name is Yoel Schlaen, I am a Wildlife & Outdoor photographer and an addict to the wilderness and nature.

Photography is a great way to show the world what is going on in the most extreme and remote parts of the planet, some times a powerful picture can say more than a million words. This is the way I see the world and I hope you will enjoy it.

Kamchatka - One of the last remote places left on the planet.
A combination of a tough land, active volcanoes and amazing wildlife.

This is a short video I shot during an expedition I lead last month :)

Yellow fields

If you visit Ngorongoro, Tanzania in late April you will find a beautiful blossoming scenery. This is defiantly one of my favored seasons in east Africa.

So I got back from another round in Tanzania with Wild Travel! This time Africa was especially good to us :)

We saw so many things and the weather was amazing!!!
I think that the best part was seeing 2 beautiful leopards courting right in front of us on the road!

Moglis forest

Last February I had the chance to visit the forests India, where it is told Mogly lived. It was a beautiful hidden world full of wildlife.

Every morning when the sun rose, the forest was painted with fractures of light rays going through the canopy.

King of the sky

Vultures are the cleaners of nature.
They keep the Savanna clean and help prevent diseases.
Every time you go out to the African Savanna look up to the sky and look for these majestic birds.

African drama

As we were about to end our day at the Mara river, on the way back to our camp we saw a dust cloud in the distance. knowing it's probably a predator hunting we rushed to the spot. When we got to there we saw a cheetah killing a small Thompson Gazelle.
After a few minuets the cheetah droped the dead Gazelle and head straight towards another, a bit bigger gazelle. The second kill was right next to our jeep. before we got the chance to understand the situation the first Gazelle that we thought was killed woke up and ran away to its mother.
A very powerful and emotional moment.
