"I think we forget things if we have no one to tell them to."
—Irrfan Khan (*The Lunchbox*)
Maybe this was why I found myself rekindling old photos again—reimagining them with what I’ve learned now, making the old look a little bit new. Sharing them again with a fresh touch, like that one story so close to our hearts that we tell to every person we love. To relive the moment, to feel all its happiness and love once more. To make that moment our reality again—and in doing so, make it immortal.
Not taking away its originality, but blending it with our present reality. A metamorphosis, like the ones we see in nature—surreal and refreshing, like a caterpillar turning into a butterfly.
This edit was my honest attempt to show how our perspective changes the way we feel about things. How the same colour scheme can be versatile enough to meld with different realities. How things might not be perfect—but it’s their imperfections that make them beautiful. How even in a similar mould, we can still look uniquely beautiful.
