With Gods’s grace, we were born in a family where we didn’t have the chance to play with toys.... My father was very famous and it’s due to him that we saw all the machines and instruments at home itself and started playing with those. When the teacher asked who has seen an electric calculator and i answered that i’ve seen it at home, the teacher said only one thing, “Are you Shyamlal ji’s son?”. Even after my graduation in commerce, my interest was in machinery and i opened my own shop having cameras and photography equipments. The technology changed with time and the field of photography upgraded. I chose that because every other machinery had been in focus by many people, this was new, and had a good scope. My family wanted to be in service and didn’t accept my proposal for opening my own shop. My father repaired everything in nominal charges and hence, wanted me to try jobs rather than be in the same field. With the rise of phone technology, the use of cameras has decreased. No mechanical movement led to no cameras for repair. 50-70% photographers got their cameras repaired in open markets from where they buy it. Due to warranty factor, the repair business has decreased. Many people have switched over from this business but for me, it was difficult to change after 30-40 years of the same business. My father used to repair all the special things. He knew how the machine was to be repaired even after the new features evolved in it. Every new machine gives a new excitement and we want more of new machines to arrive so that we can explore the new parts. Our aim is that when a machine has come for repair, it is returned in a way that the customer feels that the machine hasn’t been opened and to provide best service in minimal charges. I never used advertisement for publicity of the shop. I feel natural publicity through words is the most trust worthy.
