দোল যাত্রা হলো বসন্তের এক আনন্দময় উৎসব, যা রঙ, ভক্তি ও ভালোবাসার মাধ্যমে উদযাপিত হয়। এটি মূলত ভগবান শ্রীকৃষ্ণ ও রাধা-র লীলার স্মরণে পালিত হয়।
• বৈষ্ণব ধর্মে এই দিনটি খুবই গুরুত্বপূর্ণ।
• দোল পূর্ণিমায় মন্দিরে শ্রীকৃষ্ণের বিগ্রহকে দোলায় বসিয়ে পূজা করা হয়।
• উত্তর ভারতে এটি হোলি নামে বেশি পরিচিত।
• এই উৎসবের সঙ্গে জড়িয়ে আছে প্রহ্লাদ ও হোলিকা-র কাহিনি, যেখানে ভক্তির জয় ও অসুর শক্তির পরাজয় উদযাপন করা হয়।
• আবির ও রঙ দিয়ে একে অপরকে রাঙানো
• ভজন, কীর্তন ও শোভাযাত্রা
• মিষ্টি ও বিশেষ খাবার ভাগাভাগি
• পরিবার ও বন্ধুদের সঙ্গে আনন্দ উদযাপন
পশ্চিমবঙ্গে দোল বিশেষভাবে উদযাপিত হয়। চৈতন্য মহাপ্রভু-র জন্মতিথিও এই দিনেই পালিত হয়, তাই একে অনেক সময় “গৌর পূর্ণিমা” বলা হয়।

বিশেষ করে শান্তিনিকেতন-এ বসন্ত উৎসব খুবই বিখ্যাত, যা শুরু করেছিলেন রবীন্দ্রনাথ ঠাকুর। এখানে নাচ, গান ও আবিরের মাধ্যমে দোল উদযাপন করা হয়।
