to make lots of friends, to fall in love with colours and just have fun learning!!!! I have always wanted to teach art to children and Scribbles was an idea which I worked upon for a few years before it actually happened. I believe that a child's creativity should not be limited to what the truth and facts are. Letting their imagination run wild, letting them fall in love with colours and enjoy pl
aying with them, using them in whatever fashion and combination they like makes their work their creation! When a child paints a person's face and wants to make it blue or when he paints a house roof and wants to paint it green or when he makes an almost circle and says, "this is a pig's face" parents usually correct them and add those colours which have been used in usual course. They don't realise the angle from which the child is seeing the pig's face or may be he is painting a face of a person who is feeling blue or he wants his house to have a green roof or he just loves those colours or may be that was the only sharpened colour pencil in his box! Scribbles lets those creations be unchanged while giving the child a basic knowledge of form, colours, perspective and design in a way that it will help him improve his work and express it better! After completing my Graphic design diploma is when I started Scribbles along with my job and loved every single moment with the children. They are definitely one of the best friends one can have and they also need a friend who they can open up to, be themselves with and learn from as well. I strive to be that person with every child that joins Scribbles. After completing my Mba, this is my first batch and I cannot wait for it to begin. I share a special bond with my youngest sister Sanjna [14] and have always encouraged her to spend time with her colours and paper and do whatever comes in her mind while being by her side just helping where it is needed. I would not use the term ''correcting" because when it comes to drawing, painting and using colours, I believe children are never wrong! Sanjna is now very good at her work and is never bored and every time she has a little time to spare, her colours and drawing pads are always around! "The most amazing place to have fun and make friends" says Harsh, a student from the first batch of Scribbles. Prerna didi is like a friend and not like a teacher" says Rhea, a student from the second batch of Scribbles who has also registered for the third. "it is a unique style of teaching, different from other classes" says Mrs. Manju Mittal, a parent of two students from the first batch. I cannot say that Scribbles is entirely my work as I could have not done it without the support of my family especially my chachu Dr. Suman Gupta. I am really looking forward to Scribbles' third batch. The students at Scribbles are what makes it what it is and you have to be there to know more!
