Hi, I am Naveen Sanjeev Rao an Assistant Professor by profession, and a very passionate traveler, sketcher and a wildlife photographer. My interest towards wildlife photography started from a young age where I spent a lot of time being one with the nature around me. I have keen interest in studying the behavior of animals , birds and reptiles. Visiting the lakes and hills near my home and pho
tographing the birds in their natural environment has helped me gain a better understanding of their behavior and polish my photography skills while getting an access to their personal lives and also learning to respect their natural habitat. Those early encounters with nature put into place the platform for my journey to become a wildlife photographer. I use the medium of photography now as a method to capture the beautiful things I witness in nature, placing a frame around something I have seen, letting the image convey the true beauty of that moment in time that my words could never describe. I am hugely inspired by many passionate wildlife photographers like Andy Rouse, David Lloyd, Isak Pretorious, Burrard Lucas, Sudhir Shivaram, Rathika Ramaswamy, Thomas Vijayan & Tejas Soni to name a few. Through this wonderful passion I am now able to identify different species of birds and snakes, classify venomous and non venomous snakes. And to do this, there is no need to visit forests each time. A simple visit to nearby lake would do which is where I usually spend my weekends. Ethics :
As a responsible nature lover and a wildlife photographer I capture images as seen on the ground. I always maintain certain distance from my subjects. I don't disturb the behavior of the subject. I also do not encourage or endorse the use of flash or bait for the sake of a single photograph. My Gear:
