Looking into the past.
View from a resting platform on Rajagiri fort, Gingee, Puducherry. This complex of three forts is fairy well preserved and offers a glimpse of the art, architecture and scientific acumen of the builders.
Seen in the foreground on the right is the huge granary- about three storeys high with three huge rooms ; on the left atop a small platform is the magazine to store arms mad in the distant background is the towering gopuram of venkataramana temple, now in ruins.
The infographic carved on stone near the fort states that the famous eight pillars surrounding the Gandhiji statue on the promenade in Puducherry, were taken from this very temple.

Luck plays a big role!

Skógafoss waterfalls, Iceland

I am not a travel photographer. I travel a lot and I take photos while I travel, but I don't have the luxury of waiting for the right light at the right place for hours on my trips, as my travels are usually about exploring the place and the culture and the food. In order to really justify photographing a place properly, it will take multiple trips. Anyway, once in a while I get lucky and I get some great light. The sunlight hit this waterfall at the right angle during the few minutes I got to spend there creating the most gorgeous double rainbow.
