I’m an ex-banker who transitioned into the IT industry and have been part of it for quite some time now. My journey into photography began in 2007, when I relocated from Bhopal to Bangalore. That’s when I picked up my first camera — a SONY Cyber-shot — and was instantly captivated. Over time, my interest evolved, and I moved from a point-and-shoot to a DSLR, deepening my passion for capturing mome
nts through the lens. As I explored more, my focus gradually shifted from photography to travel blogging, particularly around the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in India. Many of my travelogues and photographs have been published in Magazines and Newspapers. My page features first-hand experiences from my travels, offering unique perspectives of some of India’s most iconic heritage sites — all seen through my lens. Gradually my work shifted from UNESCO Heritage sites to Bird photography with my interest getting diverted to Lake conservation. In recent years, I’ve become actively involved in the conservation of Kaggadasapura Lake, which lies adjacent to my home in Bangalore. As a lake activist, I’ve been documenting the biodiversity around the lake, with a special focus on bird and nature photography. One of the dedicated albums on my page https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.996918783707614&type=3 showcases over 60 species of birds — including migratory ones — along with around 20 species of butterflies and a diverse range of flora and fauna that thrive in this urban ecosystem. In 2019, my work around the lake was featured in a News 9 program titled "BENGALURU'S BIRD POPULATION DECREASES", which highlighted the alarming decline of avian life in the city and featured Kaggadasapura Lake as a focal point.
