Royal Bengal Tiger (Panthera tigris tigris)

This male tiger called the bear eater is a resident of Bandipura National Park, Karnataka,India.

So called as he was first spotted in a sloth bear kill. Either he made the kill or was feeding on a kill by another predator.

Grasslands male in Dhikala.

After emerging in early morning fog, this male, one of the three siblings of Grasslands female went around the territory for couple of hours and was spotted on the road once again.

He stopped to have a sip from a small puddle. With the Ramganga river flowing few hundred meters away, it's surprising why tigers choose puddles. Maybe because it's cooler or because of minerals.
