Who is Rolf? This was taken during the second lockdown when I was sitting at home and itching to play with my camera. My days and nights were filled with stress trying to get people hospital beds, keeping my family and friends safe, helping out with community kitchen apart from keeping the family entertained. Rolf being Rolf could see that.. even though I didn’t know him well then. This man went to Shrishti.. knows a lot about art and creativity and he knows that a creative person, cannot be contained. Showed up with his kids in his black shirt on a Sunday and said let’s see what your camera can do. We shot in my living room and this was the least creative space for me because I had chosen not to warm up to the house that we had recently moved to, so I didn’t do much to make it feel like home. There was no “T” touch to it. Rolf in his Rolf fashion said, “Aye just keep telling me what to do and have fun man”! Fun was had, deeper meaningful friendships were made with him and his beautiful family. His family and him are now a part of our very tight village… I don’t think I’m friends with anyone who doesn’t inspire me, support me, teaches me and reprimands me when I’m wrong. That’s how it should be. This photo is out today because Rolf told me a couple of weeks ago that he’s my last post and it will be a year soon🥴
So ya… Rolf- Family man, super footballer, fantastic friend, successful restauranteur, photographer, fireball shot giver( so that you remember him the next morning), aspiring dancer(play-come a little bit closer and he will find his beautiful wife), terrible at fixing watches😂(Cause I know he’s reading this) and Deepak midnight madness partner!
