Sometimes all you need is a splash of color to cheer up....๐Ÿ˜

What attracts me to a photograph is the use of color to convey the mood and I have been using this in my photography as well. If you are into food photography then you should definitely learn the color theory in food photography. There are a no of resources to follow on internet on this matter , but I have always been fascinated with the way Rachel from plays with color.

For this Roasted Beetroot and Pumpkin seed soup , I picked up a light grey and blue backdrop along with blue bowl so that my soup stands out . I have kept my styling minimal as always to make my food stand out.

Hello everyone, Its been a while since I posted something, its been a very difficult time for me as well as all of you. Its not easy to keep yourself calm when you see every other person you work in your office testing positive.

Its not entirely work from home for me , I have to step out to work , Its difficult but thats my work , but you guys stay at home and only step@out if its urgent and donot forget to mask yourself in two protective layers.

I promise I will come back to share what I love doing, till then stay indoors and stay positive.

Being on the coastal part of India, Seafood has always been a favorite for the people of Odisha, especially the coastal districts, besides the Goat Meat( khasi Mansa) . Among Sea food, prawn, fish and crabs are always preferred. It is almost impossible to finish a sumptuous odia meal without the presence of fish or prawn dishes. Besides this two, crabs are always kept for celebrating a special occasions.

One of the most famous Odia seafood delicacies Kankada Jhola or Crab curry is best enjoyed with hot steamed rice. A typical Odia traditional crab curry is cooked in mustard oil and with cumin coriander garam masala paste and addition of potato makes the curry even tastier.

My gratitude to all of you who stood besides me in making this Odia popup a great success. It was an unique experience to be in a commercial kitchen and cook these 10 different Thalis . It was an effort as part of to showcase odia cuisine on various platform and the first chapter was an unique experience. we at are humbled for your love and affection for our maiden event. Looking forward to many more adventures in coming months.

Odisha is home to hundreds of aromatic rice varieties which many of us are not even aware of .

These indigenous scented rice varieties mainly Kalajeera, Neelabati, Krushnabhog, Govindabhog, Padmakeshari, Tulasiphoola are predominant in coastal belts, while a few number of traditional scented varieties like Pimpudibasa, Jubaraj, Karpurakranti, Badsabhog, Kalikati, Laxmibilas and Makarakanda are common in the plateau regions of the state. This describes the diversity and distribution of traditional rice varieties cultivated in the interior localities of Odisha.

As per my uncle who still practice agriculture in his villages around 69 varieties of paddy are still in use in kendrapada district . The majority of these are disease and pest resistant varieties suitable for lowland cultivation. In addition, they are also resistant to water logging and flooding.

These are some of the samples which i have collected from fairs, travels and from friends who are generous enough to bring local varieties of rice for me to taste and understand.

A perfect blend of two different flavors, home grown ripe banana and our very own , these millet banana coffee squares are my favourite to serve it with some coffee.

captured this with early morning light with diffuser to create that soft light. There is no fancy props here , my blue jeans act as a perfect break for the brown color of the cake and a knife and a cup of coffee is what i used to create this mood.
