A highly distinctive medium-sized raptor found in a wide range of forests. The distinctive crest may be held vertically or at an angle when the bird is perched, but crest tends to be hidden during flight. The black back, head, underwings, and tail contrast strongly with a thick white breast band and rusty-edged white stripes on the belly. In flight, note the upperwings with large white patches, producing a checkerboard appearance. - eBird

A large raptor of lowland and montane broadleaf and mixed forests, this species is well-known for its tendency to congregate in large flocks of up to the thousands during migration. While showing considerable plumage variation throughout its range, the unusually small and slender head combined with a long striped tail and broad wings with prominently striped underparts make this species fairly recognizable anywhere. True to its name, this species is a raider of wasp and bee nests, although it forges more frequently on bee and wasp larvae instead of their honey. - ebird

The snow pigeon (Columba leuconota) is a species of bird in the genus Columba in the family Columbidae from hilly regions of central Asia. Often seen swirling around rock faces and cliffs in high mountain passes, this highland pigeon usually occurs in pairs or medium-sized flocks. Unlike any other pigeon, with a dark gray head, white neck and underparts, and gray wings with broad brown bars towards the tip. Occasionally visits villages and fields, but skittish and generally less approachable than Hill Pigeon and Rock Pigeon.

The sultan tit is a large songbird with a yellow crest, dark bill, black upperparts plumage and yellow underparts. The sexes are similar. The female has greenish black upperparts and yellowish throat. The young bird is duller than the adult and has a shorter crest.
