The temple was built to commemorate his presence, making it a revered pilgrimage site for devotees. Kartikswami Temple is dedicated to lord Kartikeya, the elder son of Lord Shiva. It is perhaps the only temple of Kartikeya in Uttarakhand. The temple is situated on a ridge at the top of Kronch Parvat.
