Maharaja Agrasen Technical Education Society Celebrates ЁЯЗоЁЯЗ│ 80th Independence Day ЁЯЗоЁЯЗ│ with Joy and Enthusiasm
Maharaja Agrasen Technical Education Society (MATES) celebrated the 80th Independence Day with great joy and enthusiasm, bringing together students, faculty, and staff in a spirit of unity and patriotism.
The celebration was presided over by Dr. Nand Kishore Garg, Founder & Chief Advisor, MATES. The Chief Guest of the function was Sh. Ramesh Agarwal, Chairman, Agarwal Packers and Movers Ltd. The occasion also witnessed the presence of Sh. Vineet Kumar Lohia, Chairman, MATES; revered members of the Trust; Shri T.R. Garg, General Secretary, MATES; Shri Jagdish Mittal, Shri S.C. Tayal, Shri S.P. Goyal, Vice-Chairman, MATES; Sh. Mohan Kumar Garg, Joint General Secretary, MATES; Shri Rajnish Gupta, Secretary, MATES; Sh. Naresh Agarwal, Treasurer, MATES; Shri Gyanendra Srivastava, CEO, MATES, Dr. Subodh Jindal, Advisor, MATES, Prof. (Dr.) Vikram Bali, Director, Mait Delhi, Prof. Dr-Rajni Malhotra Dhingra, Director, MAIMS Delhi, Prof. Sanjiv Marwah, Director, Maharaja Agrasen Business School, Prof. Satvir Deswal, Dean, MAIT, Prof. Harbhajan Bansal, Dean, Mba Mait, and Prof. Sachin Gupta, Dean (R&I), MAIT.
The celebrations commenced with the hoisting of the national flag by Dr. Nand Kishore Garg, Founder and Chief Advisor of MATES, along with other esteemed Trust members. They were joined by Ncc Mait and NSS students from various courses, symbolizing leadership, discipline, and civic responsibility. The national anthem resonated across the campus, filling everyone with a deep sense of pride and reverence for the nation.
In his address, Dr. Garg spoke about the importance of remembering the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and the responsibility each citizen bears in preserving the hard-won independence. He encouraged students to strive for excellence in their respective fields while upholding the values that define India.
Sh.Vineet Kumar Lohia, Chairman, MATES, delivered an introductory speech in which he addressed the youth and encouraged them to use Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a constructive and transformative technology. He emphasized that the responsible and productive use of AI by the younger generation can contribute significantly towards building the foundation of Viksit Bharat@2047, the vision articulated by the HonтАЩble Prime Minister of India.
The Chief Guest, Sh. Ramesh Agarwal, Chairman, Aggrawal Packers and Movers Ltd., emphasized that customer satisfaction is the main objective behind the success of their business. Sharing his inspiring journey, he stated that after serving in the Indian Air Force, he was entrusted with the task of moving the ArmyтАЩs goods. Although the assignment was challenging, he handled it with great enthusiasm.
The appreciation he received for successfully executing his very first task motivated him to venture into the packing and moving business with great fervour. He has studied the Indian logistics sector microscopically and has been a real architect of Third-Party Logistics (3PL) and Fourth-Party Logistics (4PL) services. Sh. Ramesh Agarwal also shared the example of former President of India, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, highlighting his qualities, humility, and simplicity, for which he continues to be remembered and admired. His words inspired the students to pursue excellence while remaining grounded in values, discipline, and simplicity.
The event concluded with a plantation drive in the premises of the college, reinforcing the institutionтАЩs commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainable development. The 80th Independence Day celebrations at Maharaja Agrasen Technical Education Society were a true reflection of the institutionтАЩs commitment to fostering patriotism, responsibility, innovation, and a strong sense of national pride among its students.
