Gdańsk really knows how to catch you off guard. ❤️☀️

You walk through an old brick gate, and suddenly the sun is bouncing off cobblestones, the row houses are glowing, and every building looks like it has a better backstory than you do.

Not sure what was better — the warm evening light, the crooked old facades, or the fact that this street somehow made stopping every few metres for a photo feel completely reasonable.

STREETS OF KOTOR 🛣️🚘🚦

Kotor is one of those places that feels a little too good to be real.

The kind of town where every street turns into a photo, every corner has some old-world detail you end up staring at too long, and the whole place somehow manages to feel both calm and dramatic at the same time.

Stone alleys, hidden turns, quiet squares, night lights, mountain views — it’s all there, and it doesn’t need to try very hard.

While everyone else followed the postcard route to climb the Kotor Fort, we took the quieter road — and Boy was it a pleasant surprise. Kotor really showed off why everyone is raving about this place. ❤️

A steep climb, a view that stopped me in my tracks, and a warm welcome from a local lady with handmade cheese made the whole detour feel like the main story.

Sometimes the best places aren’t the ones everyone posts about — they’re the ones you stumble into when you decide to not follow the herd .

Came to Dubrovnik as a Game of Thrones fan, expecting the usual “oh cool, that’s where they filmed that.”

Instead I ended up completely obsessed with the place itself.
The walls, the water, the light, the whole view from up here — it’s one of those spots that looks unreal even when you’re standing right in it.

So yeah, this trip started with GoT, but Dubrovnik definitely became the real reason it stayed in my head.

Standing up on the Dubrovnik city walls and this is the view you get… Lovrijenac Fortress just sitting there on its own cliff like it owns the place 🌊🏰

It’s kind of crazy to think this was built for defense back in the day, and now it’s just one of those spots where you stop and stare for way longer than you planned. The waves crashing below, the old stone, that deep blue water — everything just comes together perfectly.

Definitely one of those views that makes you slow down a bit and just take it all in.

One of the best ways to experience Dubrovnik’s Old Town is from above, and that means making your way up the famous city walls. From the ground, Dubrovnik is already beautiful, but from the walls it becomes something else entirely — a sweeping view of terracotta rooftops, narrow stone streets, ancient fortifications, and the Adriatic shimmering in the background.

This isn’t a free stroll, though. To access the walls, you’ll need either a Dubrovnik Pass or a City Wall ticket, but the experience feels well worth the price once you’re up there. The walk usually takes around one to two hours, depending on how often you stop, and trust me, you will stop often. Every few minutes there’s another angle worth capturing, another photo opportunity, another moment where you just have to stand still and take it all in.

What makes the walk so memorable is that it feels both scenic and cinematic at the same time. You’re not just looking at Dubrovnik — you’re seeing the city from a perspective that makes its history and beauty feel much more alive. The old stone walls, the sea breeze, and the endless views combine to create an experience that is as much about the atmosphere as it is about sightseeing.

📌 Old Town Dubrovnik, Croatia ♥️

If you’re visiting Dubrovnik for the first time, this is one of those experiences that should be near the top of your list. It gives you the kind of views that stay with you long after the trip is over, and it turns a simple walk into one of the most memorable parts of the visit.

I’m usually the kind of person who plans everything down to the smallest detail, but this trip was a full-on YOLO move — and Montenegro completely delivered. Perast, especially, felt like one of those places that quietly steals your heart: a tiny historic town on the Bay of Kotor, wrapped in mountain drama, calm water, and old-world charm. It’s incredibly underrated, the kind of place that doesn’t try too hard because it doesn’t need to — it’s just effortlessly beautiful, picturesque in the most unreal way, and somehow still feels like a hidden gem.

📌 Perast, Montenegro 🇲🇪

The Kotor to Perast route is a scenic stunner — don’t miss it. Hugging the Bay of Kotor with jaw-dropping mountain and water views, it’s a journey that’s just as magical as the destination.

How to reach from Kotor:
🚌: Easy, cheap, and frequent local option ( hourly)
🚕: Quick, comfortable, great for groups
🚲 rental: Scenic and fun for the ride back
