Delhi Photo Festival The next edition of Delhi Photo Festival, is from October 30- Nov 8 2015! Stay tuned for updates and happenings about .

The biennial Delhi Photo Festival, a non-profit initiative of Nazar Foundation, is a celebration of photography, organized on the lines of other important international photo festivals. The third edition of the Festival will be held at the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA) from October 30 to November 8, 2015. In this digital age, photography has become accessible to everyone, cut

ting across devices, platforms, ages, economic status and geographical locations. But while everyone is a photographer, increasingly photography users and practitioners are no longer satisfied with just recording events and journeys, but are seeking to express themselves through this art form. Photography courses and workshops for amateurs, hobbyists and professionals that teach the how to of photography proliferate. But without exposure to photography as an art, photography users and practitioners are never able to explore or realize their desire to express themselves through the medium. The Delhi Photo Festival, India’s first and biggest international photography arts festival, brings photography, the real democratic art form, into the public space creating awareness, appreciation and learning of photographic arts by:
• Showing the best of contemporary photographic art, unrestricted by genre
• Educating and initiating dialogue through talks, lectures, seminars and workshops
that serve to ignite minds and enhance creative expression;
• Building a community of photography users, practitioners and lovers. Though the core of the Delhi Photo Festival will be located at IGNCA, leading galleries and art institutions of Delhi will join as Partner Galleries, mounting independent photography exhibitions and related events in their own spaces, making it a truly city event.
