Rongali Photography Contest 2016

TERMS & CONDITIONS:
1. Each participant can submit a maximum of four (4) photographs.
2. Participants from all over India and abroad can participate in the contest. However, the images must be captured within the Assam, (a state of India) reflecting upon the Cultures, Festivals, Landscapes, and Heritages of this region.
3. Participants must own copy right of the images. The competition does not accept any liability for any breach or misuse of copy right.
4. By participating in the contest TOAA assumes all rights to reproduce images of the participants in Catalog or Press Media without any payment to the author.
5. The images must be sized to a maximum of 1500 pixels on the longest side. The files must be in JPEG format at 300 dpi resolution with the color mode RGB. The maximum size of the file should not exceed 2mbs. The images should be borderless. Each image should be given a short title by the participant. The file should be named as follows: Name of the participant-title of the photograph. For example, if the name of the participant is Dipak Kalita and the title of the photograph is Bihu, then the name of the file should be “DipakKalita-Bihu”.
6. Manipulated images will not be accepted. Only routine editing of the images in Photoshop to optimize color, contrast, brightness and sharpness without altering the originality of the image will be accepted. An image will be summarily rejected if found to be not in conformity with the terms of the contest.
7. The theme of the contest is “Culture , Festivals, Landscapes, Heritage of Assam, India”. However, the pictorial quality of the images will be taken in to account while judging them irrespective of the theme of the competition. The result of the contest as per the judgment of the Panel of Jury will be final and binding in all respects.
8. To participate the participants should email their entries at [email protected]. The email should also contain the full name & address and contact number of the participants. The last date of submission of entries is midnight of 28th January 2016. Results will be declared on 29th Jan 2016 at 23:00 HRS at https://www.facebook.com/Rongali2015/ Late entries will be rejected without any prejudice. Participation in the contest is FREE for all.
9. The awards/prizes are :
1st Prize : 2 Nights stay at Landmark Woods, Kaziranga Assam, India ( One Double Bedded room with complimentary breakfast for two )
2nd Prize : 2 Nights stay at Landmark Hills , Shillong, Meghalaya India ( One Double Bedded room with complimentary breakfast for two )
3rd Prize : 2 Nights stay at Landmark Hotels Haflong, Assam, India ( One Double Bedded room with complimentary breakfast for two )
4th Prize : 2 Nights stay at BIRINA Tourist Lodge at Manas NP, Assam, India ( One Double Bedded room with complimentary breakfast for two )
5th Prize : Dinner Cruise in Alfresco Grand at River Brahmaputra, Guwahati, for 02 persons.
Results will be declared on 29th Jan 2016 at 23:00 HRS at https://www.facebook.com/Rongali2015/
Prizes will be dispatched on : 10th Feb 2016
