Unseen Beautiful Culture of Pangi Valley - Dakhrain Mela - Pangi EP8
With the confusion of the dates of Dakhrain Mela at Hudan Bhatori, I left from killar at around 8 AM. This mela was one of my major agenda item for this Pangi valley drive. hence I wanted to document it anyways possible.
With the rain last night, drive from Killar to Hudan via Takwas and Tundru was absolutely amazing and breathtaking. I was literally driving through the clouds at most part of the drive to Hudan.
I reached Hudan by 9:15 am and I was right on time. People were gathering at Hudan bhatori, getting ready to carry the deity to bheem taal for the prayers and festivals.
I left my other stuff at the homestay at Hudan Bhatori, and carried the bare essential camera items and walked with the procession all the way to bheem taal.
There I spend almost 6 hours recording the beautiful Pangwali and Bhotiya culture in the form dances, music, dresses, food etc.
at around 5 pm I left back for the homestay, had few cups of tea with host and then drove to the hudan monastery for making call back at home.
