This World Photography Day, when I look back at my journey, I take a moment to pause and rewind to the day that marked it’s beginning… a day full of uncertainty and doubts… I let those emotions brew until I tasted the bitter sweetness of this craft.

To many more brews of photos… A Letter to My Food, stands for poetic love that brings emotions to the table…

Thank you for being a part of my journey…

The season needs seasoning…
With finally downpours in Hyderabad, it feels cosy and the scent of wet earth fills up the heart…

I dear a good creamy Mushroom Soup with loads of pepper and garlic…

The perfect partner for the rains… it’s comfort in a bowl…

Photographing food makes me realise the essence of being an artist… the emotions food can relate to is beautiful…

These vibrant colours came from the beautiful natural light on top of the hill on one serene morning at Udaipur.

Some of the simplest things are the most beautiful…
Home garden back in Kerala with such pretty pinks and reds… I love how the greens bring out the essence of all the floral bunches…

I was delighted to know my viewers here would love to see photos beyond food…
This is just the beginning…

Let’s start from HOME

A touch of home… Paneer is a staple in so many homes and the recipes with it is uncountable… everytime I have this creamy paneer, I’m reminded of the rich cultural taste of India and the vibrancy of colours it brings to one’s plate…

There’s something always comforting about warm curries that suit your style of pairing it either with steamed rice or chapatis…

That dash of kasuri methi makes it so beautifully appetising and brings out such an aroma…

When the simplest things shouts out textures… I remember a time when food photography boomed on instagram… the interesting collaborations and wonderful community contests and challenges… it felt alive to be a part of them… meeting new people, making friends around the globe and being seen was very special and rewarding… times changed and the meaning of being here changed…

This photo reminds me that I don’t need 10 gears and tools to create an interesting visual. That zest needs a push today… to pick up the camera and shoot for my inner happiness… I wish I still see these… tiny tiny details and enjoy it’s beauty… a lot more often…

A scoop of chocolate…

A soulful treat for days that seem a bit gloomy… a plateful of Button Podi Idlis is something that fills up your heart ♥️

Photographing food has been happiness since covid times… tough times that make you realise your potentials… who knew a girl full of dreams of being a successful Indian fashion designer would pick up a phone and let food talk emotions through photos…

Looking back at these 6 years, this craft has taught me so much about my soul…

A post to the food that shaped me… not physically… but mentally…
