In this fast modern world, it’s extremely rare to find it; let alone find one in working condition.

Kaptreng was an indispensable tool earlier in every household signifying that every Manipuri household was self-sustaining.

We traveled far & wide at the western gate of Manipur known as Jiribam. It is located on the state's westernmost boundary, adjoining the Cachar district of Assam. Here we visited Jirimukh & Boroikhal villages and prepared dishes with locals.
