I am a photographer with a great love of capturing moments in nature including landscapes and wild animals, as well as cityscapes. Through my photography I aim to share the feelings of awe and wonder I experience when looking at and being part of the scene I’m capturing. I am based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and am a member of the Toronto Camera Club.

Perseids Meteor Shower over the Milky Way - best viewed on a large screen in a room with little ambient light. Tuesday night was near the peak of the Perseid Meteor Shower, and what a show it was! We drove to Lennox and Addington Dark Sky Viewing Area and had a great time seeing just an incredible number of stars in the sky and spotting meteors. Luckily, it was a new moon and the Milky Way was visible in the same direction as most of the meteors. My camera definitely saw more meteors in this 15-second exposure than I was able to spot with the naked eye...

Silver Spotted Skipper. Rosetta McClain Gardens are abundant with different types of flowers, as well as different species of butterflies, birds and other animals. I just love the bright morning light shining on the mix of flowers, with all their different colours, and I was lucky to be able to catch this butterfly preparing to drink some nectar.

Song Sparrow and Bee in Lavender Field. The field was mostly visited by insects, including different types of bees and butterflies. I was lucky to also spot a song sparrow perched on a high vantage point, and a bee flying among the flowers below. While bees aren't the primary food in the sparrow's diet, it was certainly at risk being so close. The sparrow later flew down among the flowers, before flying away.

Ruby-Throated Hummingbird in action at Rosetta McClain Gardens, Scarborough. I feel really lucky to have both seen the bird and been able to photograph it. While there are several hummingbirds in this beautiful park, they are hard to spot and extremely skittish. I took this photo on Monday, and was back there today for a couple of hours without seeing a single one.
