📍 Rawla Sagrun , Kumbhalgarh Rajasthan
Rawla Sagrun is a luxury heritage-style resort located in the Aravalli Hills, just a few kilometers from the historic Kumbhalgarh Fort. While the "Rawla" (a traditional Rajput manor) itself is a modern boutique property designed to reflect the grandeur of the Mewar kingdom, its story is deeply intertwined with the legends of the surrounding region.

🏰 The Legend of the Land: Kumbhalgarh
The history of the area surrounding Rawla Sagrun is dominated by the Kumbhalgarh Fort, the "Great Wall of India."
The Sacrifice: Legend says that in the 15th century, Rana Kumbha faced repeated failures while building the fort's massive walls. A spiritual advisor decreed that a voluntary human sacrifice was needed to lift the curse. A pilgrim (some say a sage) volunteered his life; a temple was built where his head fell, and the fort's impenetrable wall was built along the path where his body lay.
Birthplace of a Legend: The land Rawla Sagrun sits upon witnessed the birth of Maharana Pratap in 1540 at the Badal Mahal (within the fort), the legendary warrior who spent his life resisting the Mughal Empire.
🏨 The Story of Rawla Sagrun
Rawla Sagrun was established to offer travelers a way to "live the history" rather than just visit it. It is designed as a Rawla—traditionally the residence of a village chief or a minor noble—blending Rajputana architecture with modern luxury.
Key Details of the Property:
Location: Situated in "Bid Ki Bhagal" on Fort Road, it is about 5-6 km (a 15-minute drive) from the main Kumbhalgarh Fort.
Architecture: The resort uses intricate stone carvings, expansive courtyards, and warm Mewari hues to mimic the feel of an ancient palace.
The "Slow Life": The property promotes the concept of "slow living," allowing guests to escape the urban hustle and experience the same tranquility the Mewar royals sought when they retreated to these hills during times of war.
