You're a fish and the White-throated Kingfisher finds you. Capturing this mid-strike with the Canon R8 and RF 100-400mm proves the absolute power of animal eye autofocus.

The lens locked right onto the eye exactly as the beak touched the water. Freezing this intense predator action at 40Omm requires split-second timing, and this setup completely delivered the perfect cinematic frame.

Spotting a well-camouflaged Indian Thick-knee (Burhinus indicus) at the Muhana Grasslands was a highlight of my recent bird walk. These crepuscular birds are masters of disguise, often remaining perfectly still until they are practically underfoot.

A massive thank you to Punit Sir for his expert eyes in helping us identify this specimen. It was a privilege to be part of the walk organized by

There is a unique thrill in tracking these "stone-curlews" across the Jaipur landscape. Their large, striking yellow eyes and streaked plumage make them a dream subject for wildlife photography when you finally manage to break their camouflage.

Chasing the golden hour with this stunning black-winged kite. Seeing those iconic red eyes and charcoal wing patches catch the fading light is a masterclass in raptor elegance.

There is something hypnotic about watching a kite hover against a burning sky. It’s one of those rare moments where the lighting and the predator’s poise perfectly align for the lens.
