The updated KTM 790 Duke has been unveiled globally, bringing the most significant changes yet to KTM's middleweight naked streetfighter.
The biggest updates focus on rider comfort and ergonomics, featuring a new handlebar with a more open angle, repositioned rider and pillion footpegs, a redesigned seat, a new subframe, revised triple clamps, and a reshaped fuel tank. KTM also claims a 2kg weight reduction, bringing the kerb weight down to 182kg.
The styling has been completely refreshed with a sharper LED headlight, slimmer bodywork, and a larger front cowl inspired by the 990 Duke and 1390 Super Duke R.
Powering the motorcycle is the same Euro 5+ compliant 799cc LC8c parallel-twin engine, producing 105hp and 87Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch. The bike also gets a redesigned exhaust system.
Other highlights include KTM's new in-house WP radial braking system, updated WP APEX suspension with simplified five-click adjustability, a WP steering damper, and Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tyres mounted on 17-inch wheels.
KTM has also announced that it will discontinue the Demo Mode feature on future models following customer feedback. The feature previously allowed temporary access to optional electronic aids before requiring a separate purchase.
The updated 790 Duke is set to reach international markets from the end of July, while KTM India is yet to confirm its launch plans for the Indian market.
