Say hello to the lady whom I mentioned in my last post.

The smile on her face tells how happy she is to see us and help us feel comfortable.

Reasons to go back. The love, the warmth, the sweetness, the kindness.

The people of Himachal are so kind hearted and helpful.

I met this Bhaiya on a trek in the month of December and it was so cold in the evening as it had just rained. So he saw me and my friends and lighted up a fire to keep us warm, his wife and him cooked us delicious hot maggi which was bliss in the cold.

It was my first trip to Himachal and this gesture is one of the many reasons that I keep going back to this place.

With each sunrise, we start anew.
The photo was clicked on the first day of my trip when we stopped at a gurudwara. The sun looked dazzling and bright and it would have been a shame to not click a photo. The calming view fills you with happiness and calms you down. And for a fact, Punjab translates to The land of the Five Rivers which are Jhelum, Chenab, Ravi, Sutlej and Beas. All of them are tributaries of the Indus with Chenab being the largest of them all. There is something about this place that pulls you towards it.

It took 8 years to build the main tomb with the construction work completing in 1572. The compound covers the Humayun's Tomb, the graves of Bega Begum, Hamida Begum and numerous other subsequent Mughals, including Jahandar Shah, Farrukhsiyar and Alamgir II. It was declared as UNESCO World Heritage Site.
