This is an initiative by Chennai Division to inform and entertain the passenger about the heritage and beauty of railways the traditional way - thru an on board magazine which will be distributed initially to the passengers of Premium Trains - like Rajdhani, Duronto, Shatabdi, etc., just like In flight magazines. In the modern era where the all pervading cellphone is almost indispensable for want of a better alternative, this innovative magazine can keep the passengers occupied enough to keep the cellphone away atleast for sometime during their journey. With a judicious mix of Information and Entertainment, the magazine hopes to keep the passengers occupied and interested in many matters concerning the Railways and the train passenger. The *platform* aims to bring the railways and the passengers on the same platform, figuratively, for sharing of ideas and information, and serve as the preferred "on board" infotainment media. Through stories, indepth articles and analytics, the magazine aims to showcase the heritage of Indian Railways as well as present the modernity of Indian Railways through a series of well researched articles - making it intellectually and visually appealing.

The inaugural issue of the magazine is programmed to be distributed in Chennai - Bengaluru Double Decker Train tomorrow *30th September 2022* in the presence of GM/SRly and DRM/Chennai Division.

Srirangam, is a city of Tiruchirappalli and a part of Tiruchirappalli Metropolitan Area in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. A river island, Srirangam is bounded by the Kaveri River on one side and its distributary Kollidam on the other side. Considered as the first among the 108 Divya Desams, Srirangam is home to a significant population of Sri Vaishnavites (followers of Lord Vishnu)

Srirangam is famous for its Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple, a major pilgrimage destination for Hindus (especially Srivaishnavites) and the largest temple complex in India.

According to the temple's website, Srirangam is considered the biggest functioning Hindu temple in the world, as it covers an area of about 631,000 square metres (6,790,000 sq ft) with a perimeter of 4 km (10,710 ft). Angkor Wat is bigger but non-functioning.

Srirangam among a few "self-manifested" shrines (Swayam Vyakta Kshetras) of Lord Vishnu. The temple complex is enormous and spans 156 acres . It has seven prakaras' (enclosures). These enclosures are formed by thick and huge rampart walls which run round the sanctum. There are 21 magnificent towers in all prakaras providing a unique sight to any visitor. The temple town lies on an islet formed by the twin rivers Kaveri and Kollidam.
