It’s easy to find Hari Menon even in crowd, he standing tall at 6’3 roaming around with a camera trying to capture nature’s bounty through his lens. An instinctive photographer, his magical touch is evident in the numerous photos he has taken ranging from stills to faces, and abstract to reality. Sanket Khuntale is an artist and a famous photographer based in Mumbai. At a young age of 13, Sanket fell in love with photography and dedicated his youth to master it. Excelling in this field, he soon found clients and made it a profession. From portraits to the weddings, his lens has captured many. Himanshu Khagta is a documentary and travel photographer known for his visual story telling. His work has appeared in many international publications including the prestigious, The New York Times and Condé Nast Traveller. He is known for his photo journalistic approach and shoots for a variety of commercial and editorial clients. Living a life of adventure, he spends his time hiking, mountain biking and alpine skiing across the Himalayas and is always pushing his limits.
The New York Times, The International Herald Tribune, Condé Nast Traveller, Hindustan Times, Destinasian, Femina, Outlook Traveller, Discover India, Carlson Rezidor Group are his clients.

His recent stints are

Stayed in the remote Spiti valley in winters for six months, where the temperature goes below -30˚C, for his personal project, Life in Spiti.
Travelled 3623km across Ladakh on a farm tractor documenting the record breaking journey.
Driven the support vehicle and documented the 7000km across India to document the Longest Tractor Expedition from Chandigarh to Kanyakumari and back for 19 days behind a farm tractor.


Amar Ramesh is one of most famous wedding and portrait photographers in Chennai, however he also takes a lot of pictures during his travels. He started to click his shutter by 2010. His Hyderabad Through iPhone 6 is one of his famous travel works.
He has a commercial team of 21, which includes photographers, videographers, writer and editors.

He loves to capture nature, architecture and people. His current project is “1000 sunrise”.


Arindam Thokder is a Bangalore based street photographer with a keen sense for contrast and color. He loves documenting social issues and nature. He travels to various parts of India to observe peoples cultures, landscapes. But it is street photography that inspires him the most.

His street pictures mostly have eye contact with various theme/humans which is unique style of him to give life to picture.


Bangalore based Mechanical Engineer quit his “Application security and cryptography” job in Yahoo to take up photography full time. He is a wildlife photographer, filmmaker, naturalist and explorer specializing in environment. His work has appeared in many publications worldwide, including National Geographic, The Guardian, BBC Wildlife, GEO, Smithsonian, Lonely Planet and other magazines. He freelances with many of the world’s leading magazines, environmental NGOs and television channels like Nat Geo and BBC.

He believes in the philosophy of combining an artist’s eye with a journalist’s curiosity and sense of storytelling in his visual style. This results in a body of work, which will inspire the viewer to discover more. Using narrative and visual construction, he strives to lure the audience into the subject, prompting them to ask questions rather than accept a ‘standard version’ of changing landscapes.

Srivatsan hails from Chennai and is an engineer by education but a die-hard Photographer by passion. He pursuing his passion for the past six year and learned a lot about nuances of photography. His objective of photography is “Bringing out a sense of union with Mother Nature” and “sense of singularity with people”. He loves to visit new places to capture people’s life style, culture and tradition. He strongly believes that” The art of producing extraordinary image depends on the how deeply you are passionate about it”.

Joshi Daniel‘s captures images of people to form a story based on their lifestyles, cultures, and traditions. He can be seen running around the streets to capture unique and cool pictures. He always tries to spend time to learn and understand his subjects. He prefers to shoot in black and white.

His won the 2015 and 2014 BlogAdda award in the ‘Photo & Video‘ category and 20 Most Outstanding Photo blogs in 2012 Photo blog Awards.

After her brief stint at IAF, Indrani Ghose has settled to freelancing in writing and photography. Being an avid traveler, she keeps logging her travel experiences in detail with lot of photographs. Submit entries for the Sony World Photography Awards 2018. The Sony World Photography Awards celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2017, a decade-long partnership between Sony and the World Photography Organisation, bringing you one of the world’s leading photography competitions. They aim to showcase the best photography in the world from the past year.

The World Photography Organisation is a global platform for photography initiatives. Working across up to 180 countries, their aim is to raise the level of conversation around photography by celebrating the best imagery and photographers on the planet. They pride ourselves on building lasting relationships with both individual photographers as well as our industry-leading partners around the world.

Categories

Professional – 10 categories, judged on a body of work (Deadline: 13:00 GMT – January 11, 2018);
Open – 10 categories, rewarding the best single images (Deadline: 13:00 GMT – January 4, 2018). National Awards – Entries submitted to the Open competition are automatically entered into the National Awards based on nationality;
Youth – for all photographers aged 12-19, a single image responding to one brief (Deadline: 13:00 GMT – January 4, 2018);
Student Focus – for those studying photography (Deadline: 13:00 GMT – December 4, 2017)
Prizes & Benefits

A total prize fund of $30,000 (USD) plus the latest Sony digital imaging equipment is shared between winning photographers. Photographers are taken on a year-long journey, bringing untold exposure and providing a global stage on which to present their work.
