I was on my 3rd sunday field trip. The site was an abandoned brick field in the bank of holy Ganges.
The workers and their families left for a new place,a new field to dig in while the temporary coolie line was still there,alive as fresh wounds with things scattered here and there. I felt suffocated as tangled and wanted to leave the cursed place as early as I could. It was a hot day and perspiration was crawling down my spine made me uncomfortable and gave me a sick feel.
I was walking fast,hurrying as if something was pulling me backwards to the place i never wanted to be..and then came a fresh wave of breeze with the sight of this two young chap playing along. They were actually leaving the place,probably going back to their mom and dad and brothers and sisters..to their families..to home..
I was pinned there and had enough time as much required to frame the heavenly sight of pure JOY.....

After Dark..

We were on our way back from a field trip on a sunday late evening when i saw him. The boy along with his mother was at the pond side of their own. His mother was cleaning the then caught fish at the ghat while he was with the lamp helping his mother. Electricity is a forbidden (it seemed) thing at that part of the village and the lamp is the main source of light after dark. I approached quietly to take a shot and i was almost there when the boy saw me. He was suddenly alert,wanted to check who the hell i was with the lamp held high to my hight.
I managed the shot by then,waved him and left..
