Eurasian Oystercatcher also known as common pied Oystercatcher, is a migratory wader that spends its winters along the coasts of Africa and Southern Asia. Come spring, these birds fly north for breeding and nesting. They use their large distinctive long orange-red bill to feed on invertebrates, particularly mussels and cockles. However, I found them in grasslands in Iceland preying on larvae and earthworms.
