The vlog is of my 7th day travel to Kashmir viz, 'Roads Less Travelled'. Leaving Lolab on 23 September at 8.45 AM we drove through Kupwara to reach Bangus Valley. The Bangus Valley is a Himalayan sub-valley of the Kashmir Valley. It is situated in the North area of Kupwara District, in Jammu and Kashmir, of Indian administered Kashmir. One of the relatively unknown areas of Kashmir with vast tourism potential is the valley of Bangus. Lying within the Trans-Himalayan area Bangus is a unique ecological combination comprising a mountain biome, which includes grassland biome with flora at lower altitudes; and Taiga or Coniferous forest. The valley which lies at an altitude of around 10,000 ft. above sea level is in the northern part of district Kupwara within the Handwara sub District. Occupying an estimated area of 300 sq.kms (20x15km) the principal valley locally known as Bodh Bangus (Big Bangus) consists of a linear elliptical bowl aligned along the east-west axis. The valley is surrounded by Rajwar and Mawar in the east, Shamasbury and Dajlungun Mountains in the west and Chowkibal and Karnah Guli in the north. A smaller valley known as Lokut Bangus (Small Bangus) lies on the north-eastern side of the main valley. Both the valleys have level green meadows surrounded by low-lying mountains covered with dense Coniferous forests (budloo) and a stream flowing through them.

The vlog is of my 6th day travel to Kashmir viz, 'Roads Less Travelled'. Leaving Hotel Velvet, Nai Sarak, Srinagar on 22 September at 8.45 AM we drove through Kupwara to reach Kalaroos, Satbaran & Tramkhan. Kalaroos Caves could possibly be secret tunnels to Russia: Located in the Kalaroos village of Kashmir's Kupwara Distt, these caves are known to have tunnels that end at Russia. The name Kalaroos has come from the word Qil-e-Roos, which actually means Russian Fort. The Kalaroos Caves are situated midway of the Lashtyal & Madhmadu villages. There is a giant stone in Lashtyal village named Satbaran. The stone has seven doors that are known as Sath Barr. Locals say that the doors symbolise seven distinct routes to Russia & other countries. They believe that Russians used to come through the tunnel. A few meters away from the stone are some other caves, one of them being the Trumkhan, a crimson-hued copper mine cave. Many believe that Satbaran was a temple in the ancient era where the Pandavas used to worship.
