Monochrome Magic!!!

I made this image back in April 2014, while on a trek to Rajmachi! This particular fort is Shriwardhan Fort!

Personally, I avoid shooting in monochrome, but this scene fitted perfectly in the monochrome photography definition!

Due to monochrome, the haze that was disturbing the colors of the frame was automatically ignored! :p

Will post photographs of The Greater Flamingo soon!!!

''Slow Shutter Photography''

One of the most loved and experimented photography of all times! But also the one that needs a lot of technical knowledge. As the name suggests, to produce this photograph, one needs to use a considerable slow shutter speed.

Photo clicked at Tamhini!

Posting this photo on account of International TIGER Day today!

The Bengal Tiger, found in India, Bangladesh, is an endangered species of tigers.

Fortunately there has been a 30% rise in their population since the 2011 census! They were counted 1706 in 2011 and later in the 2014 census, there was an amazing rise in their population. The count was 2226!

The following photograph is clicked @ Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve.
This is one of my personal favoutire photographs because it was clicked with manual focusing as the tall grass was confusing the auto focus. Tigers can camouflage themselves quiet easily with their colour and the black stripes. Thus, it was the manual focus of the lens that helped me capture this amazing photograph.

Here in the picture is Sonam tigress, (cub then) daughter of then queen Madhuri tigress, stalking a herd of Spotted Deer at a distance.

Didn't post for a while... Sorry for the absence!

I'll be talking about bloopers during a group photograph with the help of this photo. Group photographs are an important part of any trip you go! Its like the greatest memory during your trip. Bloopers make the memory even more interesting but also can prove to be embarrassing between your group of professional friends.

The photograph below is a very epic example of a ''self-timer'' shot going wrong. Even if you set the self timer on 10 seconds delay, you never know that while going back what you might encounter!
1)You might trip while in a hurry.
2)The people in the group might have not left a separate space for you and when you reach you might be out of frame.
3)Or the most feared of all, you might not reach your place in time. That's what exactly happened while clicking the photo below :p !!!

The solution to this is that you could use a wireless remote shutter release button device! That's what i did after this amazing blooper!!

If something disturbs the image while shooting a particular subject, try and keep it on for later... It might not be as beautiful as you want it to be, but it sure will tell a different story! Obstructions such as these might block your subject partially, but at the same time it might enhance the expressions of the person!

The reason of telling this is that I often see people delete photographs immediately after seeing that there is a disturbance in the image or the image is blur. Keep it on for later, you never know, you might find it interesting later on.

Scenes from Palkhi 2015!!!

Always try to do things differently, weirdly, in a way that might make the viewer look at the image twice, thrice to totally understand the image, irrespective of the fact that the subject in the image is quite common and easy to understand.

Here I held the camera upside down in order to achieve this image. This is also achievable by post-processing the image.

Equipment Used : Canon EOS 550D + Canon EF 75-300mm

Its not always about a horizontal wide-angle photograph. One can always experiment when shooting still landscapes. though there is a limited time while shooting sunsets, considerable thinking about the light, technical aspects is enough to provide you with a good photograph to hang on your living room wall!
