I chose to capture the "pour" shot to add dynamic energy. By placing the Barista cup and yellow flowers in the background with a soft bokeh, I’ve established a "cafe morning" context without distracting from the main subject.
Highlighting fresh ingredients like blueberries, oranges, and thick cream communicates a commitment to quality and freshness that resonates with premium customers.

I didn't want this to be just a "product on a plate." By including the open book in the foreground and the scattered flowers, I’m selling a lifestyle, the idea of a slow, indulgent afternoon spent reading and snacking.
Timing is everything with ice cream. I captured the shot just as the ice cream started to melt down the side of the brownie, adding a sense of freshness and immediate craving.
This image sells a "moment," not just a menu item. It positions the cafe as a place for relaxation and self-care.

I tried wanted to build a composition where each element had its own moment without competing for attention. The runny eggs add softness, the hash browns and bacon bring texture, the toast adds structure, and the grilled mushrooms create depth. Arranging them in a circular flow helps the eye travel naturally around the plate.
Lighting was kept soft but directional to highlight the golden tones, the crisp edges of the bacon, the gloss on the sausages, the shine on the honey, all details that make the food feel alive and inviting.
This type of shot helps potential customers imagine exactly what it feels like to dine at the café. The abundance of the plate, the freshness of the ingredients, and the comfort of the setting.
