Crested Hawk Eagle is a large raptor with a prominent head, rather short rounded and broad wings, longish squarish and rounded tail, but somewhat slenderer wings
This one from Kabini, during my one of my last safaris at Nagarhole forest reserve mid last year, in search for the black cat. During the last day of the safari , while returning back to the cottage , came across this one perching at one of the branch, threatening to leave the perch and fly. Managed to get few shots of this one. Only I could wish was if the light would have helped. Still managed to get few shots of this beautiful raptor.

The Indian pea fowl ,also known as the common peafowl (Or peacock as we commonly refer to ) is a peafowl species native to the Indian subcontinent

The male species are brightly coloured,with a predominantly blue fan-like crest of spatula-tipped wire-like feathers and is best known for the long train made up of elongated upper-tail covert feathers which bear colourful eyespots. These stiff feathers are raised into a fan and quivered in a display during courtship.

This is my most recent picture, on my road trip to Nandhur Madhmeshwar Bird sanctuary(Nashik) with my family , to view and photograph birds, along with a group of like minded Bird &wild life enthusiasts / photographers. On Our way, we stopped over at MERI (Mahrastra Engineering Institute) Dam , which has a beautiful nature park, where lots of birds can be spotted like sunbirds, Black Drongo, Flycathers etc and of course the Indian Pea fowl. This one was walking head on towards us , surrounded by lovely canopy of trees and a Fallen trunk behind, making up the frame (More will follow ;-)) Nice way to begin the morning trail.

This one during my recent Business trip to Amritsar and How could I have missed the Golden Temple. Golden temple also knows as Harmandir Sahib (“Abode of God”) or Darbar Sahib (“Exalted Court”) is the holiest Gurdwara and the most important pilgrimage site for Sikhism

To say that the temple is Beautiful is an understatement. I think its one of the better managed temples in the country. The temple is so clean . It’s difficult to find any debris . It also encourages voluntary services by the devotees (Seva as they call it). Even before I boarded the flight, I had previsualized certain shots in my mind. But managed to get this shot before sunrise. The icing on the cake was the Jet flying on the top, which kinda changed the perspective of the picture.

Gulls or Seagulls are seabirds , typically medium to large birds, usually grey or white , often with black markings on the head or wings. This was during my recent Ferry ride in the Arabian Sea . The Sea gulls were being fed by the ferry riders. Managed to get a shot of one of them flight aka Batman Flight

The Divine Intervention



At last , departure from nature and wild life , although my heart still craves for it more. This time ,back to the city discovering peace . Clicking can also be fun in these concrete jungle, constrained inside the four walls. Got the opportunity to play with lights and camera and managed to get this one.
