Aesthetic matters. Images shouldn’t look overly professional, but they also can’t feel amateur. They need to sit somewhere in the middle with a strong sense of aesthetic. If they’re too heavily retouched, they start looking like AI.

We used to spend hours making everything flawless. Now we spend just as long adding grain, film texture, retro tones, even imperfections.

Every time we perfect one style, we move on to something else because the old “perfect” starts to feel boring.

I’ve always wanted to create this kind of masterclass. A six-month, hands-on mentorship where I personally train a small group of students. We travel to different countries. Some of my favourite images I recently shot in . The older I get in this profession, the more I realise it was always about the art. As things start to feel more unreal, I see how much there is to do in so little time. I do get comfortable, and I do take breaks, but I always end up with a camera in my hand, looking for new patterns, trying to keep this hungry soul happy.

Of course, we all end up running after money, because the world isn’t cheap anymore. Everything costs something. We’re all just trying to make ends meet. Some have enough but want more. Some have very little and still dream big. We all want someone else’s life because we think that’s where happiness lives.

But the truth is, we’re never really satisfied. We’re always hungry. Maybe even hangry. And that’s how it’s going to be until we leave this world. And honestly, that’s not a bad thing. It gives us a reason to do a little more with our lives.

Art in your imagery is limited only by what you allow yourself to see. If you don’t stop for the shadows, for the way light leaks into a corner, for a subject quietly living in your foreground, you miss the moment where you could simply ask your model to sit inside that light. Sometimes even dust becomes part of the story. Sometimes an image doesn’t need to be sharp. Sometimes it needs to stay in a single frame and still speak a million languages. Some images need an explanation. Some don’t.

I’ve always wanted to take a model to a flower market and just shoot her in all its chaos, all its color, all its life.

And trust me, you don’t just need a model. You need someone who’s quick, who understands photography. isn’t just a model. She’s creative in her own right. That’s why I keep shooting with her. Every time we work together, I don’t just discover new frames. I end up discovering her all over again as a photographer.

After a long time, I ended up shooting on the streets of Hyderabad. And honestly, I was surprised. Not a single person cared that we were doing a photoshoot. That was a first, and it felt really good. It made me want to shoot on the streets of Hyderabad even more, because there are so many different spots and corners here that are incredible to work with.

And let’s be real, you also need the right model. Someone who’s just as excited about being on the streets, who doesn’t care if the place is messy or if people are watching. That should be the last thing on your mind. What matters is the energy, the idea, and the willingness to go all in. Amazing just being incredible ❤️❤️
