Discovered this beautiful gem on my visit to Sariska graciously hosted by
The Kankwari fort built by Aurangzeb apparently to imprison his brother & ultimately behead him there, stands testimony to a forgotten era. Makes you wonder what we're these humans made of when you see how remote this area is. Deep into the forest, must've been very dense forest then, is home to handful of locals who live at the foothills of the fort.
A must visit on your next trip to Sariska & no one otganises & guides better than Utsav Camp Sariska!

We ventured on a different route to find different Jaguars on our last day in the Pantanal. We were blessed with this gorgeous Jaguar sitting peacefully on the roots of this beautiful tree with its roots habging over the river. SASEKA was undisturbed by our close proximity & happily posed for her poetrait! Love it when you have such gorgeous supportive models!

Found this shy Jaguar chilling behind the roots along the banks of the river in Pantanal. Was challenging to shoot thru the roots as the gap was very little & i had to wait for the right moment when the roots moved due to wind & water creating just enough gap to frame Apeiara (hope i have the name right) . Photographing the wild is all about patience & anticipating the moment & then getting it right with the best equipment there is.

After chasing Marcela for almost 4hrs when we were reaching the end of our patience..
She jumps into the nearby bish & pulls out this big caiman who apparently had just caught a piranha & before he could even taste his meal he becomes a meal for another... Circle or life!

Pantanal has been an amazing revelation. The abundance or wildlife & the incredible raw backdrop is easily among the top wildlife experiences one must have!
Following Marcela this afternoon was a lesson in stealth, sharp observation, dedication, perseverance & survival at its best!
