Columbia Sportswear | Trail-Running Photoshoot.
An athlete isn’t a model—and they don’t need to pose like one.
My approach is simple: give them an action, not a pose.
“Run toward me.”
“Climb the trail.”
“Adjust your jacket.”
“Look toward the peak.”
“Take a breath. Get ready. Go.”
These simple directions create real movement, natural emotion, and authentic moments.
For a Columbia Sportswear shoot, it’s not just about photographing the athlete. It’s about bringing athlete + product + trail + brand together in one frame.
The trail creates the story.
The athlete brings the energy.
The product brings the brand to life. Capture the movement. Make the product feel natural.
Don’t make an athlete pose—give them something real to do.
That’s where authentic sports photography begins. 🏃♂️📸
