It's time to leave the Golden Circle and continue towards Vík and its nearby famous black sand beaches. 🌊✨ Here, the landscape transforms into something almost otherworldly—black sand stretching as far as the eye can see, shaped by Iceland's powerful volcanic past. The contrast between the inky sands, the crashing waves, and the towering basalt columns is simply breathtaking. If you're in search of dramatic scenery and raw natural beauty, Vík is the place to be.

On the world-famous Golden Circle, we visited Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss. The immense beauty of these waterfalls is no less than a scene from a Bollywood movie, with their cascading waters creating a mesmerizing backdrop that feels straight out of a cinematic masterpiece. The sheer power and grace of the falls, coupled with the dramatic Icelandic landscape, made it an unforgettable experience, leaving us in awe of nature's raw beauty. Standing close to these majestic falls, with the mist gently kissing our faces, we truly felt like we were in a magical world of our own.

Skógafoss waterfall has been my all-time favourite waterfall in Iceland since I watched Floki reaching iceland in the tv series Vikings.

Skógafoss is one of the biggest waterfalls in Iceland, with a drop of some 60 meters and a width of 25 meters. You can walk right up to it but be prepared to be drenched. It is overwhelming standing next to it.

The Atlantic puffin also known as the common puffin, is a species of seabird in the auk family. It is the only puffin native to the Atlantic Ocean.
Although puffins are not currently considered endangered, they face challenges due to changes in their food availability and nesting habitats. Climate change, overfishing, and pollution can impact their prey populations and breeding success.
