Carved directly into a sandstone hill in the 6th century CE, the Ravan Phadi (or Ravana Phadi) is one of the oldest rock-cut 🗿cave temples in Karnataka, India. Built during the reign of the Early Chalukyas, this rock-cut shrine is dedicated to Lord Shiva and stands as a foundational masterpiece of South Indian temple architecture.

💡 Travel Tip: Visit early in the morning to beat the heat and catch the soft sunlight entering the cave entrance.
