Myanmar is a country that has recently discovered it’s place in the world. Having been cut off from the outside world for a long time due to its political scene, the country is now welcoming tourists from all over the world. The pagodas of Bagan, the idyllic life at the Inle Lake, the treks from Kalaw and Hsipaw; all these attract tourists of varied interests to the country. But Myanmar, for me, was more about it’s people than it’s landscapes. We met many locals everyday, either because we availed their services or because they struck up a conversation with us at random. It was a delight to see so many smiling faces from all walks of life.
“We are Myanmar” is an album dedicated to the people that make the country so beautiful and welcoming.
