The terrain aided in getting him at eye level. The beautiful green canopy behind him added an amazing bokeh at f 2.8.

Jim Corbett is a magical place... And not just for photography and wildlife.

Have you ever seen a tiger sitting like this?

The jungle doesn’t crown kings.

It reveals them.

Silence. Presence. Power.

There are moments in the wild
where you’re no longer the observer…

You’re part of the story.

And sometimes,
you’re not at the top of it.

We were waiting for an alarm call to track the tiger. The forest was pin drop silent. We waited patiently.. and got alert to a sound of some one walking on dry leaves...A tiger suddenly appears as supposed to see us as we were.

Instinctively on an attack mode.

What would you do in this situation?

Grace in motion. Power in silence.

In the silence of the forest,
when even the wind holds its breath,

he doesn’t rush…
he arrives.

Every step measured.

Every shadow obeying him.

Not chasing. Not hiding.

Just… reminding the jungle who he is.

Stillness before the story unfolds.

He stands between stone and current — listening to the river, reading the wind, measuring the moment. Power doesn’t always roar… sometimes it waits, patient and certain, knowing that timing is everything.

In the wild, every pause carries intention. Every breath is strategy. And every step writes survival into the landscape.

Nature doesn’t rush — it prepares.

Tiger on the highbank rock.

Eyes that hunt before the body moves.

That look… isn’t anger.
isn’t curiosity. It’s calculation.

This Bengal tiger lies still, but his eyes are already moving—measuring distance, reading silence, owning the moment before it even happens.

No roar.
No warning.

Just a gaze that decides who stays…
and who becomes a story the jungle tells.

Tiger cubs playing in water....

The fun and banter is pure. No competing, No inhibitions, no fear, no judgements. Only adding strength to each other.

This post is dedicated to my friend, brother... Shobhit Chandra.

I met him in 11th standard in school and since that day we have been each other's back. We have had the greatest, happiest, saddest, craziest moments together.

It's been 34 years plus. Marriage. Kids, ups, downs, highs and lows were all together.

I am grateful to have him in my life.

Now that it's time to say goodbye, it's not easy. But the suffering you have had for 10 years allows me not to be selfish and set you free. Be in a better place.

See you on the other side my wingman.
Over and out.

Stripes on stripes…

not just on his skin, but echoed in every shadow, every tree, every ray of light breaking through.

Camouflage isn’t just survival here…
it’s art perfected by evolution.

You don’t always see him—
but the forest always feels him.

Bengal tiger walks in dappled light in the forest.

Not every king roars…

some just exist, and everything else adjusts.

Lying still.

Watching everything.

Owning the moment without moving an inch.

This is what real power looks like—
calm, aware, and unquestioned.

In the wild, noise is weakness.
Silence is control.

You don’t see him… until he decides you should.

In the quiet grasslands of Jim Corbett Tiger Reserve, a Bengal tiger moves like a shadow through the winter morning mist.

Every stripe, every step designed by nature for one purpose — to remain unseen.
What looks like an empty field is actually one of the most perfect hunting arenas in the wild.

India is home to nearly 75% of the world’s wild tigers, making landscapes like this a last stronghold for the king of the jungle.

Out here, the forest doesn’t need noise to show power.
Sometimes… it just lets the tiger appear.

The eyes...

The door to your soul they say.
The subadult tigers play in the golden light in the river. The siblings play in water and rest when they are tired.
The obstacles I.e. plants that were between the lens and the subject became the pastels, adding more colour to the canvas.
