The eyes of a hunter. The body of a sprinter.
One of the wild's most finely tuned predators.

The Southern Ground Hornbill is the largest hornbill in Africa and unlike most hornbills, it spends much of its time walking around on the ground.

That bright red throat, massive bill and almost prehistoric look made this one impossible to ignore.

No colour. No noise. Just the weight of years written into every wrinkle, every scar, every slow and solitary step into an uncertain horizon.

Nobody told this baby Giraffe to calm down. Good. Don’t.
Because the Maasai Mara belongs to the unbothered and the joyful.

Unplanned. Unexpected. Unforgettable.
A cheetah slipping out of the bush, crossing our path, disappearing back into the wild - completely unaware we were even there.

“Shhh… there it is.”

A Brown-headed Barbet, sitting quietly on a branch and completely unaware that it had just become the subject of my next few minutes.

One of those birds you notice only after you start looking a little closer.

The White-breasted Waterhen is a familiar sight around wetlands, but catching one in a clean frame is another story. They’re constantly moving through the vegetation, calling, foraging and disappearing just when you think you’ve got the shot.

This one decided to cooperate for a little while.

I heard it before I saw it. That loud, distinctive call echoing through Jim Corbett's canopy, and then suddenly there it was. A Great Indian Hornbill, clinging to a tree trunk like it had been waiting to be found.

I didn't move. Didn't want to. Just kept shooting and hoping it would stay a little longer.
It did. And it gave me these beautiful shots.

Friendship in the wild, apparently, comes with muddy feet, wet trunks and a lot of harmless mischief.

A little splash here, a little push there, and absolutely no interest in getting out of the water anytime soon.

Happy Friendship Day from these two troublemakers. 🐘

This is what we’re fighting for.

That stride. That power. That fierce, untamed energy that makes your heart stop and your breath catch. A tiger in the open wild - the way it was always meant to be.

Happy International Tiger Day. May every jungle always have a heartbeat like this one.
