Tomb of Hasan Khan Sur also known as Sukha Rouza, was built by Sher Shah Suri. It shows Afgani architect in primitive stage. It was built between 1530 and 1540. The largely grey sandstone tomb was designed by the architect Aliwal Khan. It is octagonal in plan and is topped by an impressive dome surrounded by ornamental domed kiosks. There is an single-storey verandah running around its circumference, with three arched openings in each side, that creates an ambulatory around the central octaganal chamber within. The tomb sits within a square walled enclosure in the city with a monumental gateway at the centre of each side and turrets at each corner.

The ninth Nanak of the Sikh sect, Shri Guruteg Bahadur Ji Maharaj, along with his wife Mata Gujari Devi, in 1666 AD, when they set out on a journey to eastern India, had their debut in Sasaram in the same sequence. At that time the tenth Guru Sri Guru Gobind Singh was living in the womb of Mother Gujari Devi. Guru ji had visited uncle Fagumal’s house and stayed here for 21 days. This place became a place of pilgrimage for the Sikhs. A Gurudwara has been built here. This is Chacha Fagumal Gurudwara.

लोक आस्था का 4 दिवसीय महापर्व छठ आज नहाय खाय के साथ शुरू हो गया है। छठ पर्व प्रत्येक बिहारवासियों के लिए महज एक पर्व नहीं है, भावनाएं है जो हमें अपने मातृभूमि, संस्कृति से जोड़ती है।

चार दिनों तक चलने वाले सूर्य उपासना के महापर्व कार्तिक छठ पूजा की शुरुआत कल यानि पहले दिन नहाए खाए के साथ शुरू हो रही है। शनिवार को दूसरे दिन खरना पूजा के साथ 36 घंटो का निर्जला उपवास प्रारंभ होगा। रविवार को तीसरे दिन संध्या अर्घ्य सोमवार की चौथे दिन सुबह का अर्घ्य के साथ व्रती पारन यानि अपना उपवास को खोल कर अन्न और जल ग्रहण करेंगे। वर्ष में दो बार छठ महापर्व होता है। पहला कार्तिक छठ व दूसरा चैती छठ। दोनों ही महत्वपूर्ण माना गया है। अब चैती छठ की भी महत्ता बढ़ गई है काफी संख्या में लोग इस छठ को भी करने लगे हैं।
