One of the most beautiful lakes of Ladakh, located in the Changthang region at approximately 4,800 m ASL.

Having explored numerous lakes across Ladakh, Yaya Tso felt different. The lush green surroundings, snow-covered mountains in the backdrop, and the contrasting landscape gave me the vibes of Kashmir’s alpine zone rather than the typical barren landscapes of Ladakh.

A beautiful reminder that Ladakh has many surprises beyond its famous destinations.
